Replacement Pstat tube for vintage Cremina machines. The indication that your Pstat tube needs to be replaced is leaking at the top fitting, and having to tighten the top nut extremely hard in an attempt to stop this leak. The compression cap, over time, can become scarred, particularly if at some point it was not installed properly, or horribly over tightened. The one you see in the picture of the end comparison isn't in too bad condition, but often times there will be a double ring, which leads to leakage. The DIY method of solving this problem is to apply multiple wraps of Teflon tape to the cap, and this can fix it if you do it fastidiously. But each time you remove the Pstat you have to re-wrap the end... Our test machine is a 1981 Cremina, and when applying the new tube it was startling how much easier it was to seal that fitting with a new tube!

This is an 8mm diameter copper tube with silver brazed caps, and 1/4" BPP brass nuts. Hand made in our workshop in Idaho, USA.
