Abaca Paper Coffee Filters are manufactured in Japan by Cafec, and are made from Abaca Fibers (Manila Hemp) - not wood. They have a crepe surface, and good permeability. White, no off flavors, and do not require rinsing to use. This is a particularly GOOD filter to use with the Clever Dripper - it's the right size, and very good drawdown time (and it's the only one we've used that does not stall in the Clever!)
