Replacement Stainless Steel Face Plate, with replacement Switch and Pilot Light for vintage Olympia Cremina Espresso Machines.
Not exactly the same as the original, which was stamped, and bent on the lower edge, and the sight glass, but it solves one of the most vexing problems - old Cremina on/off switches are no longer available for replacement, and no modern switch will fit the hole for the switch in the old face plates. Every solution for this has involved sawing, cutting, filing, etc., the small plate that the switches are mounted in, or cutting on the face plate itself, then filling the open spaces left with silicone, or covering them with tape - the result was a functioning machine, but really a cobbled together look - a very dissatisfying repair.
So, to solve this issue, we've made a new plate to fit a new, standard size, illuminated power switch. The face plate comes with the switch and pilot light already mounted, 2 new screws with nuts, and a copper crush washer for installing on the pre-1983 models (later models don't require the crush washer) It will have the plastic safety covering in place - you'll need to peel that, and use window cleaner with a microfiber cloth to clean the edges of the openings before installing on your machine. The finish on the plate is "BA grade", which is shiny, but not mirror polished (it's shiny enough to see yourself in though!)
