There are a couple of big upgrades from the Pharos 1.1 to the Pharos 2.0 - mostly for ease of use.

First, on the Pharos 2.0 the axle shaft is shortened dramatically, and the lower bushing is in a machined aluminum carrier located right below the ring burr. By moving the second bushing, the lower plate containing the bearing is no longer involved in the alignment of the burr at all. Once you set up the grinder using the top plate and center plate with the short axle and new bushing support it is basically permanently aligned. The 2nd improvement is getting the grounds out of the grinder - we added a spring plate that captures a stainless steel cup that catches the grounds. This enables you to bolt the grinder down to a counter top or wood cutting board and makes it a lot easier to grind - you don't have to hold it down any more!

Upgrade kit for Pharos 1.1 to bring it up to the current 2.0. Contains:

Precision Steel Axle with key
Lower Bushing Support with Bushing
3 Plate Springs
Anodized Aluminum Spring Plate
Catch Cup
Teflon Washer (just in case you need to compensate for the thread length on the axle - it goes below the split collar if you need it)

You will use most of the parts in your Pharos 1.1 (split collar adjustment, etc.) This kit is for Pharos 1.1 Manual Coffee Grinders ONLY - these were made in Taiwan.
