This example is repainted red and it appears that originally it is an anodized cast spelter construction, and the color was a kind of sickly beige. The spring is coated with plastic to prevent oxidation and groaning. The piston assembly is removed from the top as one unit for servicing the seals and cleaning. Appearing to have parts in common with the Brunella and Caravel(similar dispersion screen and clip), the piston is a slightly different size than these two, and is made of Ryton plastic. The machine is 220v 650W with Zerowatt badge under the machine and the distinctive Zerowatt logo pressed into the drip tray grate.
