The Bacchi, ATOMIC & Vesuviana Espresso Maker

These 3 espresso makers are differentiated from classic Mokapots in that they use a detachable portafilter style espresso brewing system.   The Bacchi is currently manufactured in Italy. The Vesuviana line of espresso machines operates on a principle very similar to the Atomic Espresso Machine - they exist in both electric and stove top models, and in 4 sizes - 3, 6, 9 & 12 cup sizes.  The 9 & 12 cup models are quite rare.

The vintage Atomic Espresso Maker is in a class of its own!  An Icon of Mid Century Design.  There were some slight differences in knob colors, and portafilter design.  Manufactured in only one size (they couldn't improve perfection!)
