The ATOMIC Espresso Machine

As you may already know, the Atomic Espresso Machine is a Mid Century Modern Icon designed by Giordano Robiatti in 1947.  Over the years there have been various minor changes to the Atomic, with addition & subtraction of secondary control rod that fed into the bottom of the portafilter, for example, and different color shades of the bakelite knobs, flat bottom, marked bottom, and the addition of the steam capabality, but all along, the design function remained the same!

The Atomic, as well as the La Sorrentina, have been reissued & manufactured by Bellman, Taiwan to exacting standards.  The fit and finish of the machine is superb!

We have a number of vintage Atomic espresso makers, made in Italy long ago, and for the price one has to pay for a vintage Atomic, the Bellman Reissue is TRULY a bargain!  The aluminum cast body is extremely smooth, very nicely finished & polished - no nicks, no scratches, no  dings, blotches or oxidation, the seals are soft, supple & do their job well, the Bakelite knobs are perfect!    Some people feel that imperfections in a vintage espresso maker can lend 'character' to the machine, but really, an Atomic in perfect condition, is a joy to behold and use!

This is a NEW machine.  The machine comes with both double and single baskets and a blind filter to enable it to be used as a stand alone steam toy for frothing milk and making other hot drinks.   Full instruction booklet is included.
