TAMPERS



Tamping is one of the essential elements in the art of espresso, and after an increasing period of immersion in home lever machines, our ideas and concepts of tamping have evolved along with out tastes in the essences of our espresso experience. A tamper for use with a home lever machine needs to be as sophisticated as the machines themselves, not a bludgeon for applying massive tamp poundage, but almost a dressing tool for the final treatment of the puck before extraction. As the grind and the dose are critical for lever machines, our tampers have a 5mm side dimension for gauging ideal dose height by feel, a flat bottom to match the piston and water column geometry, and an ergonomic handle for use in polishing and finishing the puck. They are designed by home lever machine enthusiasts for home lever machine enthusiasts.
