The SAMA Club Espresso machine is often mistaken for the modern Ponte Vecchio Lusso, but the SAMA is the grandfather of the Lusso.  These machines are from the 1970's and feature a simple design with quick release joy stick type steam and water faucet controls on the face of the back plate,  a thermosyphon group design which has the design identical to the ELEKTRA MCAL, but for the thermosyphon function and a 49mm filter basket and portafilter (vs 45 for the PV Lusso).   The machine was originally fit with a SOPAC pressurestat, replaceable with a Mater or other  modern pstat (SOPAC also still available).     These are very well built  and due to the design of the group, very easy to maintain.
