Pharos & Lido Grinder Parts & Accessories


One aspect of the Pharos Coffee Grinder project, for us, has been the use of as many readily available parts and fittings as possible.  Part of the reasoning behind this has been to bring a unique product to market in the most economical manner possible... in other words, we wanted to keep the price down.  We have used, throughout the machine, black oxide coated steel bolts & nuts - you may wish to use stainless instead.  For us, these functional elements - nuts, bolts, pins, are just that - important for function, but they also add a distinctive look of silver and black, which is part of the design.  The items you see here are available through many sources, but we've decided to offer them as either spare parts, or accessories which we use with the Pharos.  From a long testing period of our prototype, and consulations with early adopters & users of the Pharos we have observed a wide range of approaches to the machine!  For dosing some use a piece of paper, or cardstock, we like the funnel approach.  Many people use a hammer or mallet to help empty the grinder - that 2 tenths of a gram that can cling to the insides.  We like to think that the Pharos is a machine that will last forever, but if you should need a replacement part, or just want an extra, you can find them here!
