 Description
This "old style" boiler cap knob is no longer available from Olympia, as they supply only the new style triangular knob  for this application.   We have sourced these 5 lobed solid bakelite knobs from the original supplier, and they are slightly different from the original design, though retain the same high quality standard as the original.   The difference is that this knob is a bit shorter in that there is no raised base on the knob (it is flat on the bottom surface)...therefore, to maintain the original geometry we are supplying a tall rubber spacer to raise the knob a bit above the chrome boiler cap, creating an artificial "foot" on the knob and allowing the threaded shaft on the chrome cap to maintain the same orientation as the original.      It is a detail that may or may not matter to you if your knob is chipped or has lost its smoothe surface finish (or flat out missing).    We are also offering a similar matte finish knob with plastic inserts for the top, though this knob is very close to the orignal part.    1/4" square brass shaft socket and rubber base shim included.
