| The top housing assembly nut, threaded on the boiler cap shaft is responsible for the proper tight fit of all the machine outer cover elements. The tightening requirement is "finger tight plus a little more"... this keeps all the panels snug and quiet. A generic metric wrench set never includes a 30mm wrench, so for more than finger tight out comes the giant crescent wrench, if you have one, and by the looks of many of these nuts that we have seen, a pipe wrench, or pliers, channel locks, or maybe even a screwdriver used as a chisel.....a lot of these nuts are buggered up, chipped, round shouldered, or have the chrome plating peeled off with the brass showing through. You don't need a heavy duty tool, just the RIGHT tool. We designed this wrench for one specific job, proper tightening and easy loosening of that 30mm top nut on an Olympia Cremina.. It has no other function in the entire realm of tooldom. Finger tighten the nut, drop on this wrench, use the spanners for that little bit of extra torque, and the nut is properly snug. Fits all of the Olympia machines that use this type of assembly. |
