 Description
This is the old style boiler cap and knob to fit all models of Olympia machines (will also fit the Microcimbali).   Stainless steel cap with bakelite 5 lobe knob.  The knob threads onto the cap shaft with no other fasteners or washers.   Your old knob WILL NOT FIT this stainless cap as the threading is different.

There is a backstory here...we have had the stainless caps made in the past with the square shaft for the knob, as in the original design and though we source the bakelite knobs from the same Italian manufacturer as the original Olympia 6 lobe knob, that original is no longer available.  The 5 lobe replacement has the same square shaft design but the body is shorter,  necessitating the use of a spacer below the knob, and lock washer with nut above, and the catch is that it is difficult to get a socket in the top opening to fully tighten the nut.
So we redesigned the cap with a fully threaded shaft and sourced a different knob from the same company that directly threads onto the shaft with no extra fasteners or fiddling to make a much more streamlined appearance and installation.  We secure the shaft to the knob with thread lock so it will not turn off.

Comes complete with silicone gasket installed.
