Reclamation Towel Project Reclamation & Repurposing is a viable and important Eco-Approach to utilitarian items - it's been done for years in the guise of practicality, it worked for Scarlett O'Hara! We manufacture these towels ourselves using materials from various sources: Unused vintage fabric, tablecloths, draperies, ANY source for good, absorbent, natural fiber toweling fabric - all are made from cottons, linens, and cotton/linen blends. Does it seem a bit over the top to use Fine Irish Damask Linen for an espresso cloth? Not really, when it has been reclaimed from a damaged tablecloth! These towels will often be of a different size than you're used to - we use every bit that is usable in a particular piece. The bound edges are serged in a variety of colors - the thread is all overstock, not new manufacture - the only 'new' thing you'll find on of these towels is our OE tag. We consider these towels to be the most Ecologically friendly, green, utility towels you can find! |
