 Description
The OE POW-RUP LIDO electric drill interloc system will enable the quick and easy use of an electric drill to power your LIDO, assuming of course you happen to own an electric drill, and that in the privacy of your own home wish to abandon the very simple and eco friendly task of hand grinding your coffee and apply a slightly more high tech system (or lazy, not that there is anything wrong with that) to achieve the same result.
What you get is a Irwin hex shank nut driver of the proper size to fit the supplied nut which threads on to the end of the LIDO burr axle in place of the handle.   We used this system to grind hundreds of samples for our grind distribution study and did not find that it alters the good grinding qualities of the LIDO in any way.   We also repeated the study doing hand grind with the handle to see if it mattered....it didn't.   Just run the drill slowly.
For the record, we used a Makita cordless drill, but I do not think it matters.
