Angular geometric form bowl with abstract flowing triangular handle.  Inker #582 style designation CARLA.

Cup Notes:
The CARLA line is noted for its hard edged geometric styling, which is softened by the flowing pierced triangle handle.    The cup lends an outstanding look to a modernist espresso bar setup and is a real attention getter.   The handle is very comfortable and the bottom of the cup has an undercut ridge which fits very precisely in the saucer indent.   This design touch at the bottom creates a small but subtle visible break in the surface when cup is placed on the saucer, particularly on the white cups.  The bottom of the cups in the large sizes are basically flat.   The CARLA 582 really gives the visual sense of being a very large cup, even at a little less than 9 0z capacity.  The form is very stable and the wide flat bottom adds to this sense of stability through the entire design.
