These 49mm bottomless portafilters are produced in small batches and hand finished. They are all brass with a stem that is threaded into the ring and set using food grade Locktite® They will fit the La Pavoni Pre-Millenium Europiccola & Professional, The Olympia Cremina, Maximatic, Coffex, Caffarex & Club, the Elektra Micro Casa A Leva (MCal), 49mm Pasquini Livietta. It may fit a few varied other 49mm two ear groups also.
Due to variances in individual machine use and wear, some slight edge "smoothing" can be required to make your PF fit perfectly. This is only a cautionary disclaimer, this design has been tested and used in all the machines listed, prior to production.
The best way to polish the portafilter is to unscrew the grip and polish it with brass polish. I recommend "Wrights Brass Polish" because it washes off cleanly and enhances the lustre. Some other brass cleaners may leave a residue of chemicals that could affect the flavor of your coffee. Wipe the portafilter dry and you will have no water spots.
