As of this writing (01/06/2013) we at Orphan Espresso (all 2 of us) are quietly observing our 5 year anniversary. We've gone from a website with one single product (the La Peppina Rebuild Kit), and have expanded to what we feel is a true coffee lover's store, no matter how you like to make your coffee! Our view is to promote coffee, and coffee products, in their various forms, styles, methods & iterations, while maintaining our hard to find parts for Orphan machines. Our information, help guides, videos, tech tips, are available to all - this is central to our mission, to provide information, parts, and needful items for the Do It Yourselfer (whether you're experienced, or have never fixed anything before), or an Enthusiast.
During these 5 years of growth at OE we have been able to source, and provide quite a few hard to find products to the North American, and World market. These have been all been purchased, tested, and presented in an open, truthful manner, to the best of our ability, trying to give the consumer, and end user, of these items an accurate appraisal of their use & abilities (as well as their shortfalls!).
We have come to note, more & more, the appearance of our images, and videos (all very distinctive), as well as the occasional word for word copying of our descriptions in places that we did not put them. There is, specifically, ONE authorized user of ONE set of images, used with permission - the photos of the Baratza Preciso Burr - we have given permission for that photo to be used where ever Baratza chooses. There also exists, authorized links to our work on some websites. But, if you see a photograph that looks strangely like an OE photo, it is. If that photograph is on a website selling the merchandise, and it is not Orphan Espresso, that image is stolen. Period. We do not give permission to ANYONE to use our product images for use on commercial, retail, websites not our own. Please keep this in mind as you shop - we're pleased to be still here, at 5 years, and hope to be around much longer, but if you see our images, words, and videos being used to sell a product, and it's not us, the person stole that from us - our work, our time, our effort, our photos. You may save some money buying the product from somewhere else, but it is your choice what kind of business you support...
